CHARLOTTE, NC: Eddie Gallant and Judy Spurgeon, co-owners of Eddie's Place Restaurant, recently opened their second location in the popular Ballantyne Area of South Charlotte. Located in the Torrington Market Shopping Center, next to Earth Fare, business is steadily growing as the newly developed business park adds tenants.

Staying true to their original recipe for success that has worked so well at their first location in Cotswold, Eddie's Place continues to offer all of the same favorites Charlottean's have come to love and count on; The best breakfast in town, which is served all day long, She-Crab soup, towering nachos, better-than-your-own chicken salad, and freshly made burgers. In addition to the time honored favorites, daily specials are always offered.

According to Judy Spurgeon, the selection of where to build the newest Eddie's Place was based on the rapid growth in the Ballantyne area of South Charlotte. Torrington Market Place offers plenty of parking and accessibility to & from Johnston Road and Endhaven Lane. "Opening this new location in one of the fastest growing areas of Charlotte was our way of trying to offer a choice from fast food and franchises to our friends and community. As a locally owned and operated neighborhood family restaurant, we strive to offer a place where customers will feel welcomed, recognized, and not rushed. We want to offer our community something other than just another chain."

Having grown up in Charlotte, Eddie fell in love with the restaurant business when right after High School his first job was as a bus boy. Having worked in every facet of the business and crafting his skill, Eddie Gallant has built a business that is a constant reminder of what passion and talent can create. In just one visit customers are hooked on either the restaurants famous She-Crab soup or Eddie’s secret Chicken Gumbo recipe!
